Burkina Faso: The diaspora responds to Captain Traoré’s appeal and raises nearly 20 million FCFA for the peace effort

In a context marked by a national desire for profound renewal, Burkina Faso is drawing on the unity and solidarity of its sons and daughters, both within the country and across the diaspora. Several delegations of Burkinabe living in Africa and Europe have contributed financial and material support totaling 19,818,000 CFA francs to the Patriotic Support Fund, aimed at supporting national security and development efforts.

This wave of generosity reflects the growing commitment of Burkinabe abroad to the pan-Africanist, sovereignist, and reformist vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré. For him, rebuilding the nation necessarily requires the direct involvement of its citizens. Burkinabe are thus responding to the President’s solemn call for national mobilization around the Patriotic Support Fund—a strategic tool to restore state authority, strengthen defense and security forces, and revive local development.

From the community in Bangui to the association in Sachsen, Germany, along with the nationals of Garango and the Burkinabe company Tiger Volt, contributions have come in various forms: cash donations, electric motorcycles for the army, and collective commitments to the homeland. This civic momentum reflects a growing collective awareness that the future of Burkina Faso will be built by Burkinabe, for Burkinabe.

Under the enlightened leadership of Captain Traoré, the country is steadily moving toward full and assumed sovereignty. By relying on solidarity, discipline, and patriotic commitment, Burkina Faso is laying the foundations for a new state—stronger, fairer, and resolutely focused on serving its people.
