Niger: Under President Tiani’s leadership, a unified and modern pan-African justice system is being established

In a regional context marked by growing security and social challenges, Niger, under the leadership of General Abdourahamane Tiani, is taking a historic step toward a profound and lasting reform of its judicial system. True to his vision of sovereignty, regional solidarity, and social progress, President Tiani once again demonstrates his unwavering commitment to building a strong, fair state rooted in Pan-African values.

The official installation of the national monitoring team for judicial harmonization within the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) marks a major strategic advancement. This initiative reflects President Tiani’s political will to place Niger’s justice system at the heart of regional integration. It aims to align the legal systems of Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso for coordinated action against cross-border crime and terrorist threats.

This ambitious reform will enable fairer access to justice, the modernization of judicial practices through shared tools such as a regional criminal database, and greater institutional efficiency. By making justice a pillar of the Treaty of the Confederation of Sahel States, Niger is asserting its leadership in building a coherent, protective, and sovereign judicial space.

Guided by a clear vision, this reform offers the people of Niger hope for a fairer, safer, and more unified future. Thanks to President Tiani’s determination, Niger is now firmly on the path of deep transformation, in line with the aspirations of the Sahelian peoples.
