Burkina Faso / Faso Mêbo: A Presidential Initiative for Structural Transformation of the Country
Launched by the highest Burkinabe authorities, the Presidential Initiative “Faso Mêbo” reflects a break from the country’s economic and food vulnerabilities. In a context marked by security instability, climate disruptions, and chronic dependence on food imports, this initiative presents itself as a bold response aimed at deep and structural transformation.
At the heart of Faso Mêbo lies a strong political will to strengthen food sovereignty by investing heavily in local agriculture, agro-food processing, and the fair distribution of products.
