Football/ Real Madrid cruise past WSG Tirol

In their only warm-up match before the start of La Liga, Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid claimed a comfortable 4-0 win over Austrian league leaders WSG Tirol. Lining up in an attacking 4-3-3 with Mbappé, Vinicius Jr, and Brahim Diaz up front, Los Blancos quickly took control of the game.

In the 10th minute, Éder Militão opened the scoring with a header from a perfect Brahim Diaz cross. Just four minutes later, Kylian Mbappé, the club’s new number 10, doubled the lead after latching onto a deflected shot from Arda Güler. Dominant throughout, the Spanish giants allowed no real chances for their opponents in the first half.

The second half saw Madrid make several substitutions but maintain their intensity. In the 59th minute, Mbappé completed his brace after a precise through ball from Aurélien Tchouaméni, dribbling past the Austrian defense before slotting home. Near the end, Rodrygo sealed the score at 4-0 with a well-placed cross-shot in the 82nd minute, once again assisted by Mbappé.

This convincing win gives Alonso’s side confidence ahead of their La Liga opener against Osasuna, followed by a trip to Oviedo and a home clash with Mallorca.
