Burkina Faso: The third edition of the JEPPC celebrates a return to the land and independence
At the heart of the Sahelian turmoil, Burkina Faso is no longer content to endure history. It is now writing it, with the strength of its convictions and the clarity of a vision carried by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré. The third edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), launched on March 24, 2026, marks a decisive step in this quest for dignity.
Under the theme “Produce Burkinabe, Consume Burkinabe: Our Plate, Our Pride,” the state is offering not a mere communication campaign but a true doctrine of survival and strength.
This initiative embodies the realization of a renewed social contract. By bringing the battle for sovereignty into everyday life, the government turns every act of consumption into an act of resistance and construction.
The goal is to finally break the invisible chains of economic dependence in order to build an endogenous economy where the producer from Bagré and the processor from Bobo-Dioulasso become pillars of national resilience.
The impact of this strategic choice goes far beyond growth statistics. It is a powerful driver of youth and women’s employment, a shield against external shocks, and above all, the foundation of restored pride.
By favouring local products, Burkina Faso finances its own security and gives substance to a pragmatic pan-Africanism that refuses to stretch out its hand for sustenance.
The commitment of the Ministry of Justice and the mobilization of active forces demonstrate an administration now aligned with the deep aspirations of the people.
These days are the breath of a country that once again looks at itself with ambition. The change in mindsets is underway, irrigating schools and public squares with the patriotic sap essential for total victory. Burkina Faso is showing the rest of the continent that freedom begins where we decide what fills our granaries.
