Neymar’s Injury forces withdrawal from Brazil’s World Cup Qualifiers

Neymar’s hopes of returning to the Brazilian national team have been dashed after a recurring injury forced him to withdraw from the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The Al-Hilal forward, who recently made a surprise return to the Seleção squad, will miss crucial matches against Colombia and Argentina.

This setback comes after the injury sidelined him during his final game with Santos.

In an emotional Instagram post, Neymar explained his decision, stating, “We agreed it’s better not to take risks and to focus on fully recovering.”

His absence is a blow to Brazil’s campaign and a personal disappointment for the 31-year-old, who had been eager to reignite his international career.

Neymar’s injury struggles have plagued him in recent years, raising questions about his ability to return to peak form. With Brazil’s qualifiers looming, coach Fernando Diniz must now rely on other talents like Vinícius Jr. and Rodrygo to lead the attack.

As Neymar focuses on recovery, fans hope this setback will fuel his determination to return stronger for the 2026 World Cup. For now, his dream of a triumphant comeback remains on hold.
