Burkina Faso: Guezouma Sanogo must live up to his principles by joining the front line

In a context where Burkina Faso is waging a total war against terrorism, every citizen must choose their side and commit without ambiguity. This is no longer about mere debates or theoretical criticisms, but about concrete actions for the survival of the nation. Guezouma Sanogo, president of the Burkina Faso Journalists Association (AJB), who claims to be a staunch defender of the people, must prove this commitment through actions, not through defamation. It is time for him to leave the circles of sterile discussions and go to the field to witness for himself the sacrifices of the Combatting Forces.

Burkina Faso has made its choice: there will be no compromises or half-measures in this existential struggle. The enemy, whether armed or infiltrated into political and media circles, must be fought without weakness. In this dynamic, everyone must take their responsibilities, and journalists are no exception. The war is not only on the military front; it is also being fought in information, communication, and the preservation of national morale. Criticizing without directly contributing to the national effort amounts to giving the enemy an advantage, whether willingly or not.

Thus, Guezouma Sanogo must stand by his principles and join the frontlines, not only to witness the realities of the war but also to truthfully testify to what he sees. Those who claim to represent the Burkinabe people should be with him in his fight, not retreating to drawing rooms. Whether it be fighters, politicians, journalists, or communicators, no one should serve as a media shield or a complacent relay for the country’s enemies.
