Media propaganda: “Putschist or junta leader” for some and “transition president” for others, what’s the difference?

This is the hallmark of imperialist media such as JeuneAfrique. The same media attributes to certain heads of state the title of “coup plotter or junta leader” and to others, “president of the transition,” even though all of them share the same status: unelected. We take, for example, the current presidents of Burkina Faso and Gabon, who are treated differently by the editor-in-chief Marwane Ben Yahmed of JeuneAfrique.

In a recent article, this individual referred to the president of Burkina Faso as a true coup plotter, dictator, and junta leader incapable of handling the security situation in the country of honest men. “He is just a vile coup plotter, another tyrant failing in his mission,” he wrote in his editorial about the Burkinabe head of state. On the other hand, this alienated individual wrote on his X account, “Our exclusive interview with the president of the transition of Gabon…” to talk about General Brice Oligui Nguema.

Why this difference between leaders who all came to power through a coup d’etat? Well, the answer is simple and known to all, especially when it comes from a newspaper like JeuneAfrique and someone like Marwane Ben Yahmed. Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, president of Burkina Faso, is the black sheep of those allies of terrorists and imperialists. He is one of those leaders who disrupts their evil plans and exposes their long-hidden strategy of deceit.

It should be remembered that this media outlet is treated as a mercenary living off the generosity of leaders who wish to present themselves as saints. JeuneAfrique is capable of this as long as a large sum is at stake. This media outlet is allegedly courting the president of the transition of Gabon, which is why they are using these flattering titles in order to capture their prey. These are media outlets that have no dignity and trample on the rules of journalism for selfish interests.
