Burkina Faso: For an effective revolution, President Ibrahim TRAORE calls for a change of mentality

Burkina Faso under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim TRAORE is undergoing a revolution aimed at achieving total sovereignty, true independence, and real development. Since 2022, the Burkinabe people, confident in their leader’s approach, have committed themselves to building a strong and emerging nation that truly responds to their aspirations.

However, just like in any country or group of human beings, there are a few bad apples who have chosen a path contrary to the new dynamics. The President is calling them to rally, in order to accelerate the march towards a better future for all citizens. This was implied in his speech delivered by the head of government during the official launch of the activities marking the second edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation.

This edition was themed: “Order and Discipline, I Commit”. According to some opinions, this theme addresses the urgent requirements of the moment. While some citizens are sacrificing and putting in efforts in the name of patriotism and citizenship, others continue to engage in negative practices that could delay the development process that has been set in motion.

“Some Burkinabe have not yet boarded the train of the revolution, preferring to evade order and discipline, carelessly ignoring traffic laws, disregarding service hours, disobeying instructions from their superiors, and defying directives given by decision-makers,” stated the Head of State. For him, “the revolution can only be effectively carried out in order and discipline”.

President Ibrahim TRAORE, true to his commitment for a secure, sovereign, and prosperous Burkina Faso, calls on his compatriots to embrace a real change in mentality, especially in their daily lives and in the performance of their duties. They are also urged to adopt values such as order and discipline, defined as the ability to adhere to rules and norms set in the struggle for sovereignty.
