Burkina Faso: Captain Ibrahim Traoré visits the Centre-Sud, local governance at the service of the progressive revolution

Burkina Faso, under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, is entering a new era of transformation based on social justice, popular sovereignty, and sustainable development.

During his visit to the Centre-South region on June 14, the President of Faso reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to governance rooted in local realities, closely aligned with the aspirations of the Burkinabe people.

As a key figure of the Pan-African renewal, Captain Ibrahim Traoré embodies a clear vision: to rebuild Burkina Faso on solid foundations by promoting local resources, modernizing military training institutions, and placing people at the heart of public policies.

In Guiba, the launch of medicinal plant groves marks the start of the 2025 national reforestation campaign. This initiative, at the crossroads of environmental preservation and the promotion of traditional knowledge, aims to increase the healthcare self-sufficiency of rural communities while combating desertification.

In Manga, President Traoré will hold direct discussions with key local stakeholders, reflecting his desire to build local development through dialogue, listening, and citizen participation. These meetings serve as a springboard for developing concrete solutions to the region’s challenges, following a logic of co-constructing progress.

Finally, in Pô, he will preside over the graduation ceremony of the 24th class of the Georges Namoano Military Academy, a symbol of a republican, modernized army grounded in the values of patriotism. This ceremony is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen national defense and security capacities.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s visit to the Centre-South region reflects visionary leadership, resolutely focused on action and national unity. Through grassroots governance rooted in African values, Burkina Faso is boldly forging a path toward sovereignty, resilience, and sustainable development.
