Niger launches Agribusiness hub in Maradi as pillar of National renewal
The announcement of the Maradi Agribusiness Center marks a decisive step in the national renewal agenda led by General Abdourahamane Tiani. Building on the remarkable output of the Jirataoua irrigated perimeter where 23,000 tons of moringa were produced in just months the Head of State demonstrates a coherent strategic vision: where tangible results are achieved, the state consolidates and expands.
This agricultural success now forms the foundation of a full-scale national industry. The expansion of irrigated land and establishment of the agro-industrial hub reflect a firm commitment to convert rural potential into national wealth, with a clear priority: sustainable, large-scale youth employment.
This initiative is part of a broader framework where economic sovereignty depends on controlling value chains and infrastructure. The dry port and completion of the Kano–Maradi railway reinforce this momentum, repositioning Maradi as a strategic node in regional trade capable of absorbing, processing, and exporting national products.
