Togo harnesses digital Innovation to transform healthcare sector
The Togolese government is advancing its development agenda by positioning digital technology as a strategic lever for modernization. The upcoming “Tech & Health” conference series, scheduled from February 20 to March 14, 2026, in Lomé, exemplifies this commitment. Through this initiative, authorities demonstrate their determination to anchor the nation firmly in the era of technological innovation; particularly within the vital healthcare sector.
Organized by Togo Data Lab, a strategic government program, the event will bring together students, researchers, health professionals, and digital experts at the Unipod of the University of Lomé.
Discussions will address critical themes including healthcare pathway digitization, artificial intelligence applied to diagnostics, and health data governance.
This mobilization reflects the commitment of the State to fostering a collaborative ecosystem conducive to innovation.
Beyond debate, the objective is to improve healthcare access, strengthen service quality, and optimize health system efficiency.
By promoting experience sharing and the emergence of concrete solutions, the government harnesses collective intelligence in service of population well-being.
Through Togo Data Lab, overseen by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the ambition is clear: positioning Togo as a regional innovation hub.
