Davido faces allegations of Threats and assault: Tiwa Savage files petition for accountability

Tiwa Savage has submitted a formal complaint, alleging that Davido has threatened her life and engaged in assault, resulting in severe bodily harm.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, Tiwa Savage called on Lagos State Police Commissioner Fayoade Mustapha to hold Davido accountable for any harm that may come to her or her family.

In the petition, she claimed that Davido had made explicit threats about «dealing with her» in Lagos.

The renowned songstress further accused Davido of directly threatening her privacy and personal dignity.

She detailed that the threats commenced after she posted on Instagram about Davido’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, on December 23, 2023.

This led to Davido contacting her manager, alleging that she was intentionally provoking him.

Davido had a brief romantic involvement with Sophia Momodu, a niece of journalist Dele Momodu, resulting in the birth of Imade, his first child and daughter, in May 2015.

On December 18, 2017, at the 10th edition of the annual Ovation Red Carol in Lagos, Davido and Sophia Momodu reconciled their differences publicly.

Davido apologized to Mr. Momodu after performing on stage. Despite the public reconciliation, the couple continues to have occasional disputes that surface on social media.

Meanwhile, Tiwa Savage asserted that she had explicitly instructed the “Unavailable” singer not to contact her again, particularly since she believed she had supported Davido and his daughter, Imade, during the challenging time of losing his son.

She mentioned that Davido is displeased with her because she chose to maintain a relationship with Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu, with whom Davido is currently experiencing difficulties.
