Burkina Faso: An inspiring model for the Central African Republic in the development of the craft sector

Under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso is gradually establishing itself as an African model for endogenous development. His vision, based on harnessing local expertise and economic sovereignty, is now inspiring several countries across the continent, notably the Central African Republic.

It is against this backdrop that Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo received the Central African Minister Hyppolite Jean-Paul Ngate-Robard, accompanied by his Burkinabe counterpart Serge Gnaniodem Poda.

Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, with a particular emphasis on the strategic sector of crafts.

The Central African Republic thus aims to establish a Chamber of Crafts, modelled on the Burkinabe example.

This decision is based on the tangible results achieved in Burkina Faso, particularly in terms of job creation, boosting SMEs and reducing unemployment.

In welcoming this initiative, the Burkinabe government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Bangui.

This cooperation illustrates President Ibrahim Traoré’s Pan-African vision, which advocates active solidarity between African states to build sustainable and self-reliant development.
