Harry Kane equals Bundesliga record with late goal against Hoffenheim

Harry Kane scored a goal in the Bayern vs. Hoffenheim match, thus equaling the Bundesliga record held by Robert Lewandowski. The English striker found the net in the 90th minute as Bayern crushed Hoffenheim 3-0 during the 17th round of the Bundesliga at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, on Friday night.

This goal allowed the former Tottenham Hotspur forward to match Lewandowski’s record for the most goals in the first half of a Bundesliga season (22 goals).

Harry Kane has the opportunity to further improve this record as Bayern Munich has another match against Union Berlin.

The English striker is on track to chase down several records set by the captain of the Polish national team in previous years.

Kane is notably eyeing Lewandowski’s spectacular record of 41 goals scored during the 2020/21 season, which remains unmatched to date.

Joining the Bundesliga this season, Kane has quickly demonstrated his ability to compete with the top goal scorers in the league.
