Victor Wembanyama makes NBA history as First French Rookie of the Year

Victor Wembanyama made NBA history by becoming the first French player to win the Rookie of the Year award.

Despite limited playing time with the San Antonio Spurs, he showcased exceptional skills with averages of 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game in just 29.5 minutes.

His impact on both offense and defense was remarkable, earning him unanimous support for the prestigious award.

Wembanyama’s achievement adds him to the elite list of NBA rookies drafted first overall who went on to win this honor, joining legends like David Robinson and Tim Duncan from the Spurs.
