Burkina Faso: Towards a revitalisation of the social sector

Revitalizing the social sector in Burkina Faso requires a comprehensive and integrated approach to address economic, security, and social challenges.

During the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, President Ibrahim Traoré advocated for establishing a new Public-Private Consultation Framework (PPCF).

This framework replaces the former State/Private Sector Dialogue and Guidance Framework (CODESP).

The government aims to foster continuous dialogue between the public and private sectors through this new framework.

It encompasses three main components: Regional Public-Private Consultations (CR-PP), Sectoral Public-Private Consultations (CS-PP), and the National Government/Private Sector Meeting (RGSP).

Despite the significant challenges facing Burkina Faso today, the authorities demonstrate resilience in tackling them. Since the MPSR came into power, notable changes have been observed in the social sector.

President Ibrahim Traoré has steered the country with a focus on stability and inclusive development.

His government has implemented several reforms aimed at revitalizing social sectors such as education, health, security, and economic development.

Overall, under Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s leadership, Burkina Faso is striving to overcome social and economic challenges.

The implemented reforms seek to stabilize the country, improve citizens’ quality of life, and pave the way for a prosperous and peaceful future for all Burkinabes.
