Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo out for two months due to hamstring injury sustained in Copa America

Ronald Araujo, the Uruguayan defender for Barcelona, suffered an injury during the Copa America quarterfinals against Brazil.

The injury to his left hamstring occurred while he was attempting to block a cross, forcing him to leave the field.

Medical examinations confirmed a muscle tear, ruling him out for the remainder of the tournament and likely making him doubtful for the start of the next season with Barcelona.

It is estimated that he will be sidelined for about two months, which is a significant setback for the team already dealing with Pedri’s injury from Euro 2024.

Coach Hansi Flick will have to prepare for the new season without this key player, as Barcelona contends with a series of injuries among its squad.
