According to reports from AIB, citing security sources, significant progress was made in recent operations on July 31 and August 1, 2024.

The Burkinabe soldiers have reportedly neutralized at least 100 criminals during intense confrontations in the Koulpélogo province, located in the Centre-East region of Burkina Faso.

This achievement has been hailed as a testament to the bravery and dedication of the nation’s soldiers.

The operations took place in various localities within the Koulpélogo province, where criminal groups had formed coalitions to challenge Burkinabe forces.

The criminals were pursued through forests and tracked to their bases by ground units, supported by aerial operators.

The steady progress of the Burkinabe forces is marked by significant victories over the enemy.

With the activation of the AES Confederation’s joint force, there has been a strengthening of resources and efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive victory over common adversaries in the Sahel region.
