Africa: The Alliance of Sahel States, a unified front against terrorism

During a major operation carried out on October 7, 2024, the Malian Armed Forces successfully neutralized Aliza Ould Yehia, the emir of the Al-Quds company of the Emirate of the Sahara, during an attack in Ber. This notorious terrorist leader, feared for his brutality, was eliminated along with his accomplices, marking the end of a long pursuit.

This victory followed two terrorist attacks repelled on October 6 in Ber and Timbuktu. The Malian Armed Forces inflicted significant losses on the terrorist groups, destroying their logistical infrastructure and seizing a considerable arsenal.

In this relentless fight against terrorism, the leaders of the Alliance of Sahel States must also be commended for uniting their efforts to confront this common threat. Their strengthened cooperation and determination to act together highlight their commitment to regional security.

Through coordinated actions and the sharing of resources and intelligence, these leaders play a crucial role in consolidating peace and stability in the Sahel.

Together, they demonstrate that united, they can overcome security challenges, working towards a future where every citizen can live in safety and harmony. The Alliance of Sahel States stands as a true stronghold against terrorism, reinforcing hope for a prosperous and peaceful region.
