Football/ England: Prince William backs Thomas Tuchel as new England manager

London – Prince William has publicly endorsed Thomas Tuchel’s appointment as the new manager of the England national football team, expressing his excitement for the team’s future under the German coach.

Following the announcement by the English Football Association that Tuchel, 51, will take over as England’s manager on January 1, 2025, Prince William took to social media to share his support.

On X, the Prince wrote: “Exciting times for England, with a talented generation of players and a new manager taking the reins. Thomas, I wish you the best of luck, we’re all behind you!”

Tuchel’s appointment has stirred mixed reactions across England, given his history as a former Chelsea manager.

However, with Prince William’s high-profile endorsement, Tuchel has gained a significant supporter as he prepares to lead the Three Lions into a new era.

Despite the divided opinions surrounding his hiring, the German tactician’s experience, including leading Chelsea to a Champions League title, could prove vital as he steps into one of football’s most scrutinized roles.
