Burkina Faso explores industrial partnership with ethiopian firm to boost youth training and local production

On Tuesday, Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, welcomed a delegation from the Ethiopian company Bejaiethio Industry and Engineering Solution, led by its CEO, Bejai Naiker Nerash.

Their discussions focused on fostering a partnership aimed at expanding technical and vocational training opportunities for Burkinabe youth and advancing the country’s industrial capacity.

After the meeting, Bejai Naiker Nerash commended President Traoré’s dedication to national development. “We shared insights from our industrial expertise and presented collaborative opportunities that could have a positive impact on Burkina Faso’s young generation,” Nerash stated.

Renowned for its proficiency in engineering and machine manufacturing, Bejaiethio is prepared to bring its technical know-how to Burkina Faso.

Working alongside local institutions, the company aims to provide industrial training for young people, equipping them with the skills necessary to manufacture tools and machinery tailored to the nation’s needs.

This initiative is designed to enhance the country’s ability to produce its own industrial and agricultural equipment, ultimately reducing dependency on imports.

The collaboration with Bejaiethio has the potential to invigorate Burkina Faso’s industrial sector, empowering young people to engage directly in manufacturing and innovation.

By nurturing these skills, Burkina Faso could eventually establish itself as a production hub capable of meeting a significant portion of its industrial equipment demands.

This capacity for local production could be a valuable asset for the nation, spurring economic growth through the creation of skilled jobs and supporting a more specialized workforce.

Incorporating these skills into Burkina Faso’s industrial landscape, this partnership not only seeks to strengthen the country’s industrial self-sufficiency but also aims to unlock new economic and career pathways for its youth, contributing to sustainable national development.
