Togo: President Faure Gnassingbé strengthens his commitment to peace and security in Africa by consolidating continental relations

President Faure Gnassingbé is intensifying his commitment to peace and security in Africa, strengthening Togo’s diplomatic ties with fellow African nations. On Tuesday, October 29, he welcomed Lieutenant-General Silas Ntigurirwa, Chief of Staff to Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye, in Lomé.

 

General Ntigurirwa conveyed a message of congratulations to President Gnassingbé, recognizing his significant contributions to regional stability.

 

This visit highlighted the appreciation for Gnassingbé’s efforts to foster unity and peace across Africa.

 

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the importance of bilateral cooperation between Togo and Burundi in strategic sectors such as diplomacy, economic growth, and inclusive finance.
