Burkina Faso: Why is France so desperate to destabilise Faso before the end of December?

Burkina Faso, a strategic pillar in the Sahel States Alliance (AES), is currently facing a calculated and serious threat, reportedly orchestrated by France. Paris, long known for its desire to maintain control over the region’s resources and political dynamics, is allegedly increasing its efforts to destabilize the country, with the goal of plunging it into chaos by the end of December.

Since April, several clandestine meetings have taken place in Paris and neighboring countries.

These meetings, orchestrated by French intelligence services, reveal a clear strategy to destabilize Burkina Faso by any means necessary.

The plan involves leveraging armed terrorist groups as pawns to further weaken the nation’s security and spread fear and instability.

Additionally, millions of euros are believed to be funnelled into so-called “humanitarian” projects through certain French NGOs.

These funds are reportedly being used to manipulate civilian leaders and military officers in order to sow division and distrust within Burkina Faso’s institutions.

The ultimate goal seems to be rendering Burkina Faso ungovernable, creating a pretext for foreign intervention under the guise of “restoring peace.” This tactic has been employed in other countries such as Côte d’Ivoire, Libya, and the Central African Republic.

Why target Burkina Faso?

Under President Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso has become a symbol of resistance against external influence. The country’s commitment to full sovereignty and equal cooperation challenges France’s interests in the region.

Furthermore, Burkina Faso’s involvement in the AES, alongside Mali and Niger, directly threatens the geopolitical order established by France. This alliance, focused on defending their sovereign interests, weakens the influence of former powers, leading to this desperate attempt to regain control.

In the face of this threat, it is crucial for the people of Burkina Faso to remain vigilant and united. Attempts to manipulate and divide the nation must be firmly rejected. Authorities, opinion leaders, and every citizen must play their part in thwarting these malicious plans.
