Burkina Faso: The Minister for Security, Mahamadou SANA, on the ground to assess and reinforce the effectiveness of security arrangements

Under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso is undergoing a significant transformation, with a renewed focus on placing citizens at the heart of national policies.

This shift is evident in the government’s proactive measures to address pressing challenges, as demonstrated by the recent field mission led by the Minister of Security, Mahamadou SANA, to key security checkpoints in Tanghin-Dassouri and Bobo-Dioulasso.

The minister’s visit was aimed at assessing the efficiency of the weighing station systems and engaging directly with key stakeholders to understand on-ground realities.

By emphasizing the need to upgrade facilities and ensure they meet national standards, Mahamadou SANA reinforced the government’s commitment to safeguarding frontline personnel and ensuring accurate data management.

These efforts align with a broader strategy to enhance territorial integrity and foster national unity.

During the visit, the minister also addressed road users, encouraging responsible behavior such as wearing helmets, and urged security agents to uphold professionalism while respecting human rights.

These initiatives reflect a holistic approach to improving security and promoting the well-being of all citizens.

President Ibrahim Traoré’s administration continues to prioritize tangible actions that respond to the needs of the people, signaling a clear departure from traditional governance methods.

This citizen-focused approach underscores the government’s resolve to build a safer, more inclusive Burkina Faso.
