Mali: Closing ceremony of the seminar on peacekeeping operations: Commitments to security and peace

The conclusion of the High-Level Seminar on Peacekeeping Operations for the 3rd cohort of the Mali War College, held on March 15, 2024, marked a pivotal moment in the training journey of Malian officers. Led by Major General Oumar N’DAOU, the ceremony also featured the presence of Aliou Blondin BEYE, the Director-General of the Peacekeeping School, and Colonel Souleymane SANGARE.

During a five-day period, participants delved into an intensive curriculum covering vital topics like peacekeeping doctrine, the legal framework surrounding peace missions, and operational hurdles.

 Major General N’DAOU stressed the strategic significance of this training within a regional context where peace and security are paramount.

The War College Commander emphasized the training’s role in equipping officers with essential strategic thinking for navigating complex decision-making scenarios.
