Burkina-Faso: FSP/31 billion mobilised for the 1st quarter, the people resolutely committed to the transition

During its regular session on Tuesday, March 26, the Orientation Council of the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP) publicly disclosed the funds collected during the first quarter of 2024. It was revealed that a total of 31 billion FCFA had been mobilized. Over the past year, a substantial amount of 99 billion FCFA was also gathered to bolster the ongoing efforts aimed at reclaiming territory.

The council highlighted that these funds were sourced from various avenues, including tax levies, income transfers, specific resource allocations, and voluntary contributions from the people as part of their peace-building efforts.

These collected resources were then allocated to support initiatives such as bolstering the military, aiding the Volunteer Brigade for the Defense of the Homeland (BVDP), acquiring essential military equipment, assisting internally displaced persons, among other crucial areas.

The remarkable achievements and results attained by the combat forces across different operational fronts were made possible thanks to these diverse contributions from the people.

Their unity and unwavering support behind the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore, the government, and the Armed Forces/VDP have been instrumental in driving towards the ultimate victory over adversities.

The consistent and resolute support of the Burkinabe people for the transition reflects their endorsement of the initiatives, reforms, and policies implemented by President Traore since assuming leadership in Burkina Faso.

Their collective efforts aim to combat terrorism and steer the country back onto the path of development.

This is a moment to express gratitude to the people for their patriotic commitment to peace and their steadfast support for the transition.

The call for unity and continued support for the transition remains crucial for a secure, resilient, and prosperous Burkina Faso.
