Burkina Faso: Under the supreme command of President Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso’s fighting forces are nearing final victory against terrorism
Under the supreme leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, the Burkinabe combat forces are showcasing unwavering determination and formidable efficiency in the fight against terrorism. This week, their offensive actions in several localities of Burkina Faso have led to the neutralization of numerous terrorists, the recovery of stolen livestock, weapons, and other essential logistical equipment crucial to their operations.
In the Tougan area on May 15, 2024, a large-scale operation was conducted against a group of motorcycle-riding terrorists who were dangerously advancing towards a position of the combat forces.
Unaware that they were being monitored by aerial vectors, these assailants gathered in an orchard in the village of Gorombouli.
There, they met with accomplices and began plotting under the trees. The pilots, meticulously observing their movements, decided to strike the main group stationed under a large tree, thereby eliminating a significant threat.
On May 16, 2024, at dawn, the combined Tourbillon unit and the detachment from the 52nd Inter-Commando Regiment launched an offensive action to neutralize the survivors of the aerial attack and recover equipment.
This operation is part of a series of coordinated actions aimed at dismantling terrorist networks in the region.
A few days earlier, on May 11, after several hours of observation of a significant terrorist group located north of Filio (Soum),
the air forces launched a decisive attack. The targets were locked and struck with precision, destroying the terrorists and their vehicles.
Later that same day, in the evening, aerial vectors were deployed to rescue the locality of Ramba (Ouahigouya area) under attack.
Pursuing the fleeing assailants to the north, they were able to locate and eliminate another column of criminals hidden in an orchard in Ouellé through targeted strikes.
Under the resolute leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, the Burkinabe combat forces continue to demonstrate their ability to conduct effective offensive operations, inflicting severe losses on terrorist groups.
Their commitment and courage inspire hope and security among the Burkinabe population, paving the way for a near victory against terrorism.
