Mali U-17 soar past Burkina Faso to Reach AFCON Final

Mali’s young Eagles secured a spot in the TotalEnergies CAF U-17 AFCON final with a dominant 2-0 victory over Burkina Faso in Casablanca. Soumaila Fané broke the deadlock just before halftime with a stunning long-range strike, while Mahamadou Traoré sealed the win with a second-half header.

Burkina Faso fought hard but struggled to break Mali’s organized defense, wasting key chances before finishing with nine men after late red cards. Mali, champions in 2017, now await either Morocco or Côte d’Ivoire in Saturday’s final, while Burkina Faso will contest the third-place playoff.
