Football/ Kaba Diawara dismissed as Guinea national team coach

The Guinea Football Federation (Féguifoot) announced this Sunday evening that Kaba Diawara has been relieved of his duties as the head coach of the Guinea national football team.

This decision brings an end to Diawara’s tenure, which began on October 29, 2021, following his appointment as a replacement for Didier Six.

In an official statement, the Féguifoot expressed their gratitude for Diawara’s service over the past two and a half years but confirmed that the collaboration has now concluded.

“The Guinea Football Federation (FGF) informs the public, Syli National supporters, and all partners that the cooperation with the national team’s head coach, Mr. Kaba Diawara, along with his entire technical staff, has been terminated,” read the communiqué.

Diawara’s departure marks a significant change for the Syli National as they look towards new leadership to guide the team.

The Federation has yet to announce a successor, leaving fans and stakeholders eagerly awaiting the next steps for Guinea’s national football team.
