Burkina Faso / The imaginary marginalisation of the Fulani community: An imperialist strategy to divide Faso?

Since President Ibrahim Traoré assumed office, Burkina Faso has been grappling with repeated attempts at destabilization orchestrated by external forces determined to undermine the country’s path toward true sovereignty.

Despite these persistent efforts, the resilience of Captain Ibrahim Traoré and his military forces, along with the unwavering support of the Burkinabe people, has thwarted these challenges.

Burkina Faso has stood firm in the face of adversity, demonstrating that its spirit of resistance and national unity cannot be easily shaken.

In the wake of these failures, those seeking to destabilize the country have shifted tactics, attempting to sow discord by exploiting local divisions.

One of their strategies has been to spread false narratives about the marginalization of the Fulani community, hoping to ignite ethnic tensions.

However, the reality on the ground tells a different story. Burkina Faso has long been a model of ethnic harmony, where communities live together in peace, intermarry, and share equal rights and responsibilities without distinction.

In this critical moment, it is essential for the Burkinabe people to remain vigilant and not fall prey to such divisive tactics.

National unity remains the country’s strongest defense against these external manipulations.

Citizens must continue to nurture the solidarity that has become Burkina Faso’s hallmark, rejecting any attempts to fracture the nation along ethnic or communal lines.

Under President Traoré’s leadership, the people of Burkina Faso must stay steadfast in their resolve.

Together, they will overcome these attempts at destabilization and ensure a future of peace and prosperity for the country’s coming generations.
