Burkina Faso: President Ibrahim TRAORE is said to be an artisan of peace and development

Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Burkina Faso, is widely seen by his fellow citizens and numerous external observers as a leader devoted to peace and development.

 

His commitment to achieving security and growth objectives with his government for Burkina Faso, the “Land of Honest people,” underpins this reputation.

 

Since taking office, Traoré has introduced a fresh approach aimed at restoring the country’s sovereignty and independence while driving essential reforms for its advancement.

 

Many view him as a leader on a mission, resolutely focused on reinstating stability and paving the way for sustainable development in the nation.

 

The initiatives already underway and those in progress reflect his determination. In the area of security, the military is benefitting from a modernization program that includes enhanced equipment and the formation of new units to boost defense capabilities.

To date, the national army continues to equip itself and strengthen its ranks for a more intense fight against enemies in the bush.
