Mohamed Salah makes history with third FWA Footballer of the Year Award

Liverpool’s Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah has been crowned Football Writers’ Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year for a record-equalling third time, matching Arsenal legend Thierry Henry’s achievement.

The 31-year-old winger earned the prestigious honor after a sensational season, netting 33 goals and providing 23 assists in all competitions.

Salah, who previously won the award in 2018 and 2022, has been instrumental in Liverpool’s Premier League and European campaigns, showcasing his consistency and world-class talent. His latest triumph cements his status as one of the greatest forwards in English football history.
