Football: Juventus Cruise 5-0, Eyes on Jonathan David

Juventus made a statement in their opening match of the competition with a dominant 5-0 victory over Al Ain. On loan from PSG, Randal Kolo Muani stole the show by scoring twice and later expressed his desire to remain in Turin. However, his future with the club is far from certain.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus may have other plans for their attacking line. Club president Comolli reportedly favors a move for Canadian striker Jonathan David. Unlike Kolo Muani, David is available as a free agent, making him a more appealing option financially, especially since PSG are unlikely to release Kolo Muani easily.

Still, signing David won’t come cheap. The former Lille forward is demanding a €7 million annual salary, along with a €1 million signing bonus and €12 million in agent fees. It’s a heavy financial commitment for the Italian club.

Juventus’ interest in Jonathan David intensified after missing out on Viktor Gyökeres, as reported by O Jogo. The Swedish striker has made Arsenal his preferred destination. Now, Juventus must decide quickly if they want to invest in David or look elsewhere to strengthen their attack.
