In the framework of their permanent surveillance of the national territory, the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) successfully conducted a decisive air operation south of Kidal on January 22, 2026. Following a meticulous reconnaissance phase, aerial assets executed two precision strikes against vehicles belonging to armed terrorist groups.

Both skillfully camouflaged targets were completely destroyed, demonstrating the technical mastery and high accuracy of the means deployed by the Malian military.

This surgical operation highlights the growing strength of the aerial capabilities of the FAMa in the fight against terrorism.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces confirmed that coordinated search and neutralization operations against terrorist elements continue relentlessly across the entire territory.

This constant vigilance reflects the unwavering determination of the Malian forces to eradicate the security threat.
