Burkina Faso: Sabotage and disinformation – when ill-intentioned individuals attempt to undermine the RPP Manifesto

Recently, the Directorate of Communication and Public Relations of the Presidency of Faso issued a formal notice that deserves the full attention of all truth-loving citizens of Burkina Faso. Indeed, the institution has firmly observed that malicious individuals are illegally engaged in the dissemination of fraudulent physical and digital versions presented as the Manifesto of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP).

This maneuver is utterly unacceptable. Just as Burkina Faso resolutely commits itself to the path of national refoundation, obscure forces are attempting to derail the laudable initiative of making a foundational text available to the public, a text intended to enlighten consciences and guide revolutionary action.

By spreading altered, defective, and potentially manipulated versions, these saboteurs are deliberately seeking to sow confusion, instill doubt, and torpedo the historic significance of this manifesto.

The Directorate of Communication rightly draws the public’s attention to the “defective content of the said incriminated versions, potentially subject to manipulation, distortion, or modification.” In other words, what is being circulated illegally in no way reflects the authenticity of the revolutionary project carried by the authorities.

This is a clear attempt at disinformation, an all-out attack on the national cohesion and ideological clarity of the Burkinabe people.

Faced with this provocation, the formal notice reminds with the utmost firmness that any person involved in fraud or sabotage will face severe sanctions. It is high time these individuals cease their harmful actions.

The Manifesto of the RPP is a tool for popular liberation, not an object of trafficking or falsification.

Burkina Faso cannot allow criminal hands to distort its march toward progress. The hour calls for collective vigilance: let us denounce these maneuvers and protect the integrity of our foundational texts.
