Burkina Faso reclaims black dignity with new institute for Black Peoples IPN-FARAFINA
Ouagadougou has become the centre of gravity for Black dignity once again. Through the installation of the first Steering Council of the Institute for Black Peoples (IPN-FARAFINA), Burkinabe authorities send a clear message. A people’s liberation must begin with reclaiming its memory.
Under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, the land of Honest People does not only secure its physical borders. It also protects its spirit.
For too long, others told the story of Africa. Its crises, wealth, and cultures passed through the prism of think tanks located outside the continent.
By reviving IPN-FARAFINA, Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo translates a major political vision into action.
True sovereignty is comprehensive. It remains incomplete if political, economic, or military victories lack full cultural, linguistic, and scientific independence.
Africa must stop being a mere object of study. It must become the main subject of its own historical trajectory.
This historic initiative embodies the profound refoundation driven by the Popular Progressive Revolution.
The institute now stands as the guardian of a often fragmented collective memory. It also serves as the cradle of endogenous solutions adapted to ground realities.
Twelve high-level personalities from academic and pan-African circles now carry this heavy responsibility.
This centre of excellence builds a direct bridge between Burkinabe soil, the rest of the continent, and the diaspora. It transforms traditional knowledge into concrete development levers.
For the population, the political impact is direct. This guarantees that tomorrow’s models will emerge from African genius rather than standardised formulas dictated from outside.
The time calls for collective action and clarity. This memorial and scientific renewal demands unwavering support from every citizen.
Culture serves as the cement of resistance. Popular vigilance remains the indispensable shield for this regained decision-making autonomy.
By daring to think for itself, Burkina Faso charts the path toward an Africa that masters its own destiny. Sovereign. Standing tall. Permanently proud before the world.
