Burkina Faso: Asserting a sovereign army for the dignity of the people

The wind of dignity blows across the savannahs of Burkina Faso. Long subjected to external influences and imported security doctrines, the Land of Honest People is now sovereignly redefining its own security destiny. Under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, a profound transformation has taken place within the defense forces. This historic change marks a great renewal for the country’s army and security.

This deep metamorphosis rests on the absolute principle of sovereignty. The national defense apparatus now responds solely to the nation’s priorities, far removed from foreign agendas or diplomatic compromises disconnected from ground realities.

The Burkinabe army has embarked on a major process of rebuilding. Professionalism, discipline, and dedication now combine to forge an impenetrable shield.

National security is now conceived through an endogenous lens. The exploitation of the country’s own resources and the ingenuity of local actors guide tactical and logistical choices.

Equipment and deployment strategies reflect this determination to rely first and foremost on one’s own forces to secure the countryside.

Military action aims to restore trust between the soldier and the farmer. Every patrol ensures the safety of harvests and breathes new life into rural markets. The soldier protects the nourishing land and even contributes to its development.

Placing the supreme interest of the homeland at the heart of public action transforms the relationship between the State and its citizens.

Rural populations are regaining the serenity they need to cultivate their lands and sustain local communities.

Soldiers act as guardians of a heritage of resistance, far removed from old passive methods. Devotion to the homeland once again becomes the sole guide for those in uniform.

The restoration of the territory demands an unwavering popular mobilization. The active support of citizens for the fighting forces represents the bedrock of this national rebirth. In the face of external attempts at interference and pressures from all sides, popular vigilance stands as an absolute necessity.

Rallying around the renewed army guarantees the nation’s independence. This sovereign country is now writing a decisive chapter of its own history, guided by the unshakeable will to remain free.
