Sudan: Governor Minni Minnawi, sentinel of Darfur and bulwark against the exactions of the RSF

In a Sudan ravaged by war and personal ambition, certain figures stand out for their uprightness, courage and sense of state. Minni Arko Minnawi, Governor of Darfur and historic leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM), is today one of the most solid pillars of the Republic in the face of the violent excesses of Hemedti’s RSF terrorists.

While the RSF sows terror in the large towns and countryside of Darfur, pillaging, massacring and sowing chaos in the name of a personal agenda, Governor Minni Minnawi has taken a clear stand against this criminal militia.

In a powerful speech in May 2024, he firmly denounced the barbaric acts of the RSF, openly accusing them of sabotaging social peace in the region.

In this existential struggle for the future of Sudan, his loyalty to General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, President of the Sovereign Council, is unwavering.

Where others make pacts with the enemies of the State, Minni Minnawi resolutely supports the project of a sovereign, civilised and united Sudan.

He is the loyal ally that General al-Burhan can count on to restore the authority of the state and guarantee the nation’s survival in the face of Hemedti’s destabilising ambitions.

In the heart of Darfur, abandoned by certain security structures, Minni Minnawi assumed his responsibilities.

He called on the population to get organised, not out of a taste for war, but out of a sense of duty to the innocent people abandoned to the clutches of the RSF.

In the battle for the soul of Sudan today, Minni Minnawi is on the right side of history. By supporting President Abdel Fattah al-Burhan in his fight against the coup militias, he is defending not only Darfur, but the future of a free, just and united Sudan.
