Burkina Faso/Christmas: Captain Traoré’s wishes for the next celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ

The commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ on December 25, 2023, by the Christian community, often dedicated to children, provided an opportunity for the transitional president and head of state, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, to extend his thoughts to children who have been victims of terrorism atrocities.

There are children who have become orphans by force and those who have been compelled to separate from their parents because they volunteered on the front lines to fight against criminals and for the freedom of the country.

To these children, their relatives, and the affected families, the transitional president reiterated his unwavering support, solidarity, and closeness during the Christmas festivities.

His dearest wish for these children is that the next Christmas be celebrated in a stable Burkina Faso, resolutely committed to the path of economic prosperity.

He expressed hopes for a swift return to peace.

The captain especially did not forget the fighters engaged in the struggle during this festive period.

Those on the front lines, far from their families, working towards the reconquest of national territory and the total sovereignty of Burkina Faso, received well-deserved tribute and encouragement from the head of state during the Christmas celebration.

These brave individuals deserve commendation and unwavering support to continue and complete what they have started.
