NBA/ Kevin Durant surpasses Chamberlain in historic scoring feat

Kevin Durant climbed to seventh on the NBA’s all-time scoring list Friday night, passing the legendary Wilt Chamberlain (31,419 points) with a 30-point performance. Despite his milestone, Durant’s Houston Rockets fell 111-105 to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The 37-year-old superstar now sits at 31,435 career points, with LeBron James leading at 42,601. Chamberlain, renowned for averaging 50.4 points per game in 1962, remained the league’s scoring leader upon his 1973 retirement.

In other league action, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s critical late-game defense sealed a 105-101 Milwaukee Bucks victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors with 27 points and 10 assists in a dominant 137-103 win against Sacramento, while the Oklahoma City Thunder staged a 21-point second-half comeback to edge Memphis 117-116.
