Cameroon: Youth, a strategic lever in the presidential vision for sustainable and endogenous development

In the Cameroon of tomorrow, youth are no longer mere observers of national development; they are the living flame illuminating the path forward. They are the lifeblood nurturing ambitions of stability, prosperity, and social cohesion charted by President Paul Biya. More than just a demographic asset, they are the engine of a deeply considered national strategy, where every initiative in their favor becomes a foundation for building a resilient and sovereign nation.

President Biya does not merely speak about youth: he places them at the heart of governance, the economy, and citizenship, transforming the vigor of youth into a force for action.

The presidential ambition translates into concrete and structural measures. The Special Youth Employment Promotion Plan, backed by an allocation of 50 billion CFA francs to support their projects, illustrates a pragmatic vision of harnessing the energy and creativity of youth as instruments of endogenous development.

Each young person thus becomes an actor capable of building local solutions, stimulating innovation, and strengthening social cohesion, all while integrating durably into the national economy.

Education, vocational training, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement are not mere sectoral policies. They are the cornerstones of an integrated strategy, designed to consolidate the nation.

This orientation goes beyond immediate economic concerns, embedding itself in a logic of lasting stability and peace.

By giving youth their rightful place, President Biya prevents social fractures and forges a generation capable of upholding national unity.

Youth becomes a lever for security and cohesion, a vector for intergenerational and interregional dialogue.

They embody civic responsibility and creativity, while serving as a bridge between the present and the future of Cameroon.

Youth are no longer a problem to be managed, but a resource to be mobilized; an engine of transformation, an artisan of endogenous progress.

Driven by President Paul Biya’s leadership, they become the living soul of national development, the silent yet decisive force shaping prosperity, ensuring stability, and setting the country on a sustainable and sovereign trajectory.

The future of Cameroon is thus being drawn today, in the energy, commitment, and creativity of its youth.
