Bayern Munich in talks to extend Harry Kane’s contract

Bayern Munich have confirmed they are in negotiations with Harry Kane over a contract extension, just 18 months after his record-breaking arrival from Tottenham.

Sporting director Max Eberl revealed the talks on Monday, stating, “We’re talking to Harry. Everyone knows at some point a decision has to be made.” The England captain, 32, has been a transformative signing, netting 119 goals in 126 appearances and securing his first major trophy with last season’s Bundesliga title.

Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen emphasized Kane’s contentment in Munich, noting the striker and his family are “settled in.” This season, Kane has continued his remarkable form with 34 goals in 30 games across all competitions.

Kane’s current deal runs until 2027, but the club is reportedly aiming to extend his stay until 2028 or 2029.

Having become the fastest player to reach 100 Bundesliga goal contributions, Kane’s future appears firmly rooted in Bavaria as the club moves to secure its star asset long-term.
