Burkina Faso: Captain Ibrahim Traoré, architect of the well-being of Volunteers for the Defence of the Homeland

In Burkina Faso, Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) symbolize courage and commitment to national security. Recognizing the pivotal role these volunteers play in the fight against insecurity, Captain Ibrahim Traoré has implemented measures to enhance their support and well-being.

The adjustments introduced by Captain Ibrahim Traoré include an increase in the disability allowance for VDP from 1.8 million to 3 million XOF, a raise in the monthly salary from 60,000 to 80,000 XOF, an augmentation of the death benefit from 1 million to 3 million XOF, and an elevation of burial expenses from 100,000 to 250,000 XOF. The Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland will maintain their daily food allowance of 1,500 XOF and monthly medical care fees of 2,000 XOF.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré has also implemented continuous training initiatives to enhance the skills of VDP and promote their education for a better understanding of security issues.

Encouraging the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland, Captain Ibrahim Traoré urged them to continue their determined fight against the most resolute terrorists, promising them a future of their choice once the struggle is over.
