Togo/Saudi Arabia: President Faure Takes Part in the 1st Africa-Saudi Arabia Summit

The Head of State of Togo, Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBE, is participating in the proceedings of the first Africa-Saudi Arabia Summit, which opened this Friday, November 10, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

Upon the invitation of Saudi King Salman Bin Abdelaziz Al SAOUD, President Faure GNASSINGBE of the Republic of Togo arrived in Riyadh on the evening of Thursday, November 9, to join his counterparts in the discussions at this summit of African leaders.

Accompanied by his Minister of Foreign Affairs, Professor Robert Dussey, President Faure was welcomed upon his arrival at King Khalid International Airport by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, Deputy Governor of Riyadh.

As a reminder, this inaugural summit aims to facilitate exchanges for the enhancement of political coordination, addressing regional security threats, and promoting economic transformation through research and the local development of new energy solutions.

According to Saudi officials, the summit also aims to strengthen Africa-Saudi Arabia cooperation in terms of investment.
