Manchester City dominates Brighton with 4-0 Win: title race intensifies

Manchester City showcased their dominance in a commanding 4-0 victory over Brighton in a rescheduled match from the 29th round of the Premier League. The game saw City assert their authority early on, applying relentless pressure on Brighton’s defense right from the kickoff. This pressure translated into tangible results when Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring with a superb header off a precise cross from Kyle Walker.

City continued to dictate the tempo of the game, creating numerous scoring opportunities.

Phil Foden extended their lead with a goal from a deflected free-kick just moments after De Bruyne’s opener.

The match saw little resistance from Brighton as City’s attacking prowess was on full display.

Foden further cemented City’s dominance with his second goal of the match, a precise left-footed strike following a high press from Bernardo Silva.

The second half saw City maintain their control over the game, with Julian Alvarez finding the back of the net in the 72nd minute to put the game out of reach for Brighton.

The comprehensive victory underlined City’s determination to stay focused on their title pursuit.

With this win, Manchester City extended their unbeaten streak in the Premier League to 18 matches.

They currently sit in second place, just one point behind league leaders Arsenal with a game in hand.

On the other hand, Brighton’s hopes of securing a spot in European competition for the next season have diminished significantly.
