UEFA increases squad sizes for Euro 2024 teams in Germany
UEFA, the Union of European Football Associations, has made a significant decision regarding Euro 2024 in Germany by allowing qualified teams to bring 26 players, an increase from the usual 23.
This measure, previously applied during Euro 2021 due to the pandemic, is not mandatory for teams. Federations must announce their squads before June 7.
Several national team coaches have welcomed this flexibility, emphasizing the importance of adjusting squad sizes as needed.
Euro 2024 will kick off on June 14 in Germany.
