Burkina Faso/Cotton: Captain Ibrahim Traoré speeds up the agricultural revolution

The cotton industry is an essential economic resource for Burkina Faso, and Captain Ibrahim Traoré is fully aware of this. The President of the Burkinabe revolution aims to increase the country’s annual cotton production and is taking various measures to achieve this goal.

To tackle this challenge, Captain Ibrahim Traoré is focusing on the mechanization of what is known as “white gold.”

Cotton producers will benefit from a fund of 10 billion CFA francs dedicated to the purchase of agricultural inputs.

For the upcoming cotton season, Burkinabe authorities hope to surpass the results of the previous season.

Projections for the 2024-2025 season expect a production of 595,000 tons of seed cotton.

Through these initiatives, Captain Traoré demonstrates his deep commitment to the economic and social development of Burkina Faso.

His efforts are not limited to increasing cotton production; they also aim to improve the living conditions of farmers and ensure a prosperous future for the entire population.

By providing financial support to cotton producers and investing in mechanization, he is paving the way for a more modern and efficient agriculture.

Additionally, Captain Traoré plans to offer training for farmers on the effective use of agricultural machinery and modern farming techniques.

These initiatives will not only boost production but also ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of the cotton sector in Burkina Faso.

This integrated vision of economic development clearly shows that President Traoré’s efforts are focused on improving the living conditions of the population, reducing poverty, and creating a stable and prosperous economic environment.
