Julian Alvarez’s transfer Saga: Manchester City’s stand, PSG’s interest, and potential suitors

Julian Alvarez, the 24-year-old Argentine forward from Manchester City, is attracting interest from several clubs in the current summer transfer window.

Despite being under contract with Manchester City until 2028, Alvarez has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and other top European clubs.

Addressing these rumors while with the national team preparing for the Copa America, Alvarez said, “I am calm, I feel good, and I am happy at Manchester City… And we will see what happens.”

This statement indicates that while Alvarez isn’t ruling out a move, he isn’t pushing for one either.

With an estimated value of 80 million euros and strained relations between PSG and Manchester City, a transfer seems challenging.

A World Cup champion with Argentina in 2022, Alvarez remains in the shadow of Erling Haaland at Manchester City.

Nonetheless, he could play a significant role in the upcoming transfer window. His name has been linked not only with PSG and FC Barcelona but also Atlético Madrid.

According to Argentine journalist Veronica Brunati, Manchester United and Chelsea are also monitoring his situation closely.

Manchester City is determined to keep the former River Plate striker. However, Brunati suggests that an offer exceeding 80 million euros might persuade the club to reconsider, provided Alvarez expresses a desire to leave.

For PSG to secure his signature, they would need to present a convincing offer both financially and in terms of arguments.

The situation remains fluid and is worth watching closely.
