Burkina Faso: Remarkable progress on the Action Plan for stabilisation and development

On Wednesday evening in Ouagadougou, the government of Burkina Faso announced that the country’s Action Plan for Stabilization and Development (PA-SD) achieved a physical execution rate of 73.4% in 2023, compared to 63.3% in 2022.

This notable progress highlights the ongoing efforts and strategic initiatives aimed at stabilizing and developing the nation.

The 73.4% execution rate in 2023 marks a substantial improvement from the previous year, underscoring the government’s commitment to implementing tangible actions to address the country’s urgent needs.

However, challenges remain, particularly in terms of security and managing the humanitarian crisis.

Burkina Faso continues to focus on these priority areas to ensure sustainable development and long-term stability.

The success of the PA-SD will hinge on the government’s ability to sustain and bolster its efforts in these critical sectors, while actively engaging development partners.

The PA-SD is an ambitious and vital plan for Burkina Faso’s future. With the increased execution rate, it is crucial to maintain this momentum to achieve the set goals and secure a stable and prosperous future for all Burkinabe.
